LOG HOME
New England style chalet meets state of the art SIP technology.
This home is situated on a site that lends itself to the ever popular walkout basement featuring French doors that lead to a magnificent eastern view of the mountains of Andover. The area has been designed with a future family/recreation room in mind.
The first floor features hardwood and ceramic tile floors, baseboard heat with a full bathroom. Moving down the hall, one enters a generous kitchen/dining/great room with a gas fireplace and two Andersen French wood sliding doors, leading to a deck where you can enjoy the morning sunrise. Ceilings feature native pine post and beam construction.
A hand crafted staircase leads to the second floor. The area includes lodge pole pine flooring and a full shed style dormer that opens the interior ceiling area creating a spacious environment for the two bedrooms and full bath.
The exterior wall system is constructed of Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) which provide a continuous R-25 value throughout. The roof system is constructed of 2x12 rafters combined with a blown-in cellulose insulation creating an R-50 value in the roof. This system promotes high efficiency which results in complete four season comfort. |
